Comprehensive Occupational Therapy Assessments
We carry out detailed, holistic assessments to understand how physical, cognitive, sensory or emotional challenges affect a person’s ability to manage everyday tasks.
Our assessments are tailored to the individual and designed to support robust care planning, funding applications and rehabilitation goals.
What we assess

- Functional mobility and transfers
- Access around the home and community
- Meal preparation and kitchen tasks
- Household management (laundry, cleaning, shopping)
- Work, study and childcare roles
- Leisure activities and meaningful routines
- Fatigue, pain, posture and risk factors
Our assessment process
01
Referral and screening
We review the referral information, clarify the aims of the assessment and gather relevant background details.
02
Face-to-face or virtual assessment
Our OT meets with the client (and family/carers where appropriate) to observe tasks, discuss challenges, goals and priorities.
03
Holistic analysis
We consider the interaction between the person, their environment and the tasks they need or want to do.
04
Recommendations and plan
We provide clear, specific recommendations, prioritised and linked to measurable outcomes.
05
Follow-up
Where commissioned, we support implementation, review progress and adjust the plan as needed.
